Please join the Illinois Solar Energy & Storage Association (ISEA) and the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA)/Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA) Team at DCEO on Thursday, December 18th from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm for an information exchange between solar industry employers, CEJA-funded Workforce Hubs and FEJA-funded Solar Training Pipeline Programs. Solar industry employers will learn more about the training offerings at CEJA-funded Workforce Hubs and FEJA-funded Solar Training Pipeline Programs around the state of Illinois, and the workforce programs can learn more about the skill and hiring needs of the solar industry.

The Solar Training Pipeline Program establishes a “pipeline,” or “pool of trained installers,” for projects authorized under the Illinois Solar for All Program and the revised Renewable Portfolio Standards. Among its unique features, this program includes funding for programs that provide training to individuals who are or were foster care alumni or returning citizens transitioning into the workforce.  This program was established under the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA).

The Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) provides funding for community-based organizations around the state of Illinois to train people living in equity investment-eligible communities in high-demand clean energy sectors to prepare them for rewarding careers advancing the state’s renewable energy goals. The solar industry has been identified as a key sector to advance the state’s goals, and this webinar will serve to increase opportunities for placement for students being trained at workforce hubs.
