SEIA's Solar Customer Resource Portal and Consumer Protection Industry Resource Portal offer a number of different resources to keep consumers and members of the industry informed of best practices. The Illinois Power Agency released a Consumer Protection Handbook in the summer of 2022, which can be found here.
Residential Consumer Protection Guide
The Interstate Renewable Energy Council offers this guidance for consumers on how to make sure they are protected.
