The Illinois Adjustable Block Program, also known as “Illinois Shines," opened for project applications on January 30, 2019. The Adjustable Block Program provides incentives to facilitate the development of new photovoltaic distributed generation and community solar projects, with successful applicants receiving payments for 15 years of renewable energy credit deliveries from those projects.
The volumes of project applications received for each block in the program are available on the Illinois Adjustable Block Program website dashboard. The dashboard shows megawatts of capacity submitted into each block, broken down by submission type, geography, and review status. The dashboard is updated every evening at 9:00 PM.
