This two-day course uses a series of presentations, resources, design examples, calculators, tools, and demonstrations to teach participants the basic step-by-step process of designing a utility-interactive residential or small commercial PV system. Participants will use site assessments, design and component proposals, and case studies to learn about selecting equipment, system sizing, layout planning, array siting, and other design considerations.
Please note there is a REQUIRED TEXT BOOK for this course, Photovoltaic Systems by James P. Dunlop, 3rd edition. You can buy it from the MREA Marketplace or through a vendor of your choice. You may also want to consider checking your local library or a program like Amazon Textbook Rentals if you’re not interested in purchasing a book at this time.
