The City of Geneva Electric Division invites all current distributed generation, net metered customers and other interested stakeholders to attend an informational discussion on proposed changes to the net metering rate schedule. The open house will take place on Tuesday, January 16th at 4:30pm at the Geneva Public Works building, located at 1800 South Street, Geneva IL, 60134.
The current Net Metering Rate for distributed generation does not take into account the use of the distribution system by the net metered customer. It is important that the utility price its services to account for the use of the utility distribution system by the net metered customer.
The utility is contemplating a change for net metered customers based on its current published unbundled rates for Local Distribution System Costs.
If you are interested in participating in a discussion with the utility leadership and its consultant, please RSVP to Hal Wright, Electric Superintendent at 630-232-1503 or by email at hwright@geneva.il.us.
