The Illinois Solar Energy Association (ISEA) Solar House is a self-contained demonstration lab containing both photovoltaic (pv) and solar thermal panels.

The ISEA Solar House, one of the first of its kind, has been displayed at Illinois State Fair and at numerous educational events in Illinois.

The Solar House contains three 85 watt pv panels, which are warranted for 25 years.

The panels are connected to an inverter, charge controller, breaker box, and batteries inside the house.

This system generates enough electricity to power approximately 25% of the needs of a family of four.

The house also has an array of solar thermal evacuated tubes. This sized array can supply roughly half the hot water needs of a family of four.

Both the pv and solar thermal systems are mounted to the roof with a XRS Rail system.
