On Saturday October 4, we will participate in the 2008 National Solar Tour, the largest solar energy event in the world. On that day homeowners, businesses and public institutions will open their sites to visitors who want to know more about how to save money on energy costs while helping the environment. If you are using solar or wind energy on your home or business and would like to register your site as part of the tour, go to our Site Host Registration page.
If you are an advertiser, and would like to put your message in front of the 2,000 visitors (84% homeowners; 78% college educated) we expect to participate in the tour in the Chicago area and around the state of Illinois, click here for a copy of our Solar Tour Guide Media Kit. A 2007 survey by the American Solar Energy Society showed 98% satisfaction rates and 45% likelihood of investing in renewable energy among tour visitors.
