This introductory 3-hour course uses a combination of lecture and classroom activities to paint a picture
of the growth of the solar electric, solar thermal, and small-scale wind markets in Illinois, nationally, and
globally.  A brief overview will be provided of the technologies, the cost and price trends of components
and systems, potential major changes, and policies and incentives.  Those interested in greater detail
can go on to the 8-hour Solar & Wind Entrepreneur: Management, Sales & Marketing course.

Mark Burger
Mark is Principal Consultant for Kestrel Development Company, providing consulting services on renewable energy policy, technology and market development.  He has over 25 years experience in renewable energy and building energy applications.  Marks is also the ISEA Board President.
