Illinois Play-In for Climate Action

Illinois is facing several issues directly related to climate change: an increase in extreme weather events including erratic rainfall, tornadoes, and more intense hot weather throughout the year. The rate of asthma in Illinois is already 1% higher than the national average, which will worsen, especially with increased pollution and extreme heat.


Join us at our local Play-In to stand up for clean air!

Who:

You, your family and friends!

What:

Illinois Play-In for Climate Action. We will provide activities for children and families and snacks, light refreshments for participants. A press conference will be held from 11:30 A.M.-12:00 P.M. featuring speakers from faith-based organizations, health organizations, elected officials, and Moms Clean Air Force.

When:

Thursday, August 27, 2015, 10:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M.

Why:

We want to celebrate and support America's Clean Power Plan, and let our elected officials know that we want a strong implementation plan that will protect our families and keep our air clean!
